MIDAS’ 12th issue will explore the dynamics of achieving self-expression within a world of conformity. Few understand how the fashion system works. When crafting your persona, what are the foundational elements that truly build your morality and solidify the path toward becoming your own person? This issue explores the unmaking and making of performance in society, through art, literature, and fashion, using our own judgement as a baseline for constructing the image we wish to present to the world. What are the influences and critical experiences that serve as our moral compass and “style” the person we wish to become? This journey of self-creation is inherently linked to how we present ourselves.
